The Engine Coach
On my way back from office, I entered the Bangalore Railway Station at 8 in the night. I was wandering around the station for quite some time and went inside one of the train engines as I was curious to see how it looked like. I had caught a fancy for running trains although virtually, thanks to the Microsoft Train Simulator which is a wonderful simulation game.
I ended up exploring the different controls and also clicked a few snaps. Thankfully I did not try to operate the controls :) I found out later that it was illegal to click photographs inside the engines of Indian Railways. I was questioned by some Railway Police Constables. After knowing my harmless intentions, I was let off.

Urbanization
These two pictures were shot from a high rise IT company in the Sarjapur Outer ring road. There are scores of IT companies along this road and development is happening at a brisk pace.
The view of downtown Bangalore from the Utility building in MG Road. Garuda Mall is seen in the picture.
Amidst all the development Bangalore still retains its green cover (even though reduced to a great extent). I have never seen so many trees / greenery in any of the few cities I have visited till now. The title of 'Garden City of India' suits Bengalooru perfectly.

Exhibits !!
This photo was captured in April 2005 in Kanteerava Stadium. The ocassion was 'MyAccenture Day'. In the photo is my friend and ex-colleague Ashutosh. I was happy that two of my photographs (the two in the center 2nd and 3rd between the birds on the tree and the womans painting) were displayed too.
I still remember the day. It was on a Satarday evening on Ugadi day. It was a fun filled evening with the sultry Malaika Arora Khan compering the show. It seems like yesterday. Time does fly fast.

Corporate !!
I worked in the Cunningham Road office known as Bang 1 for almost a year. It was a very small homely building. This huge tree at the very entrance was the prominent attraction. It hardly took 10 minutes to reach here from home, in contrast to the other offices spread around the city.
A lovely view of the sunset from one of the conference rooms on the 6th floor. Some lovely memories, good friends for life and top quality experience for the future were some takeaways of a little over two years of work with Accenture.

Convent Education
This Mother Mary statue in the School Ground will be etched in the minds of all the boys and girls who have schooled here.
The Christmas decorations and the festivities in mid December before the school closed for holidays was a much anticipated event every year.
This particular photograph of Jesus Christ still hangs on the granite walls of the chapel over all these years.
Overall it is an experience by itself to study in a Jesuit school.

The 'Primary ' Years
The lady in the center is Miss Rajkumari who taught us Maths in the 2nd standard. She was a wonderful teacher and one of my favourite maths teacher. The other Maths teachers I am fond of are Shenoy Miss (7th and 8th) , Jupiter Mam (9th and 10th) , Lakshman sir (II PUC). The lady in pink saree is Miss Padma who was the high school Maths teacher for both my sisters. Teaching is indeed a noble profession and these lovely teachers have gained a space in thousands of hearts. Hats off to you all the dear teachers of the world !!!
These pictures were shot during a visit to my school in 2004 December along with another friend and classmate.

Temple of Management
This is the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. Many students aspire to study in any one of the 7 IIMs across India.
Hmmmm as for me I guess my only possible means as of now to have a whiff of IIM is through a weekend distance program. Let me see how this will shape out in the future.
These were some shots taken in November 2004 during one of my visits to the IIM-B campus. My office was just next to the campus in Bannerghatta road. I remember about an incident of me and my friend getting into the campus canteen and having lunch there as students :) As for the campus it has a lot of trees which give ample shade and all the buildings are built of solid granite stones.

He lives on . . .
Oct 2000 - April 2008
We brought him to our house when he was a 3 month pup in January 2001. It had been a few months then since I had started my Engineering Degree. I was almost in the end of the first semester. Dogs are such wonderful creatures with amazing loyalty. Their love towards the family members is heart warming.
All these years Browny my pet dog was another son for my parents. He was my friend, my brother and son. My friends too were fond of him. I have a lot of memories about him which I will cherish forever.
He left the world all of a sudden on April 5 2008. I belive he was unwell only for 2 days and medication did not help. He was diagnosed with a swollen heart. The good thing is that he did not suffer one bit. The last time I saw him was on August 22 2007 (Wednesday) Night before I left Bangalore to California for MS.
You will live on ... always in my heart.
