Reverence

Man has been worshiping the unknown by giving it various forms and different names.

The huge Ganesha idol in Kemp Fort, Airport Road, Bangalore. There is also a Shiva idol in the same complex.

Every Indian Hindu home has a dedicated place to the almighty. This is considered sacred where idols & photographs are kept and worshipped. This is one such puja room. Shot in my friends house in December 2004.

On Gowri-Ganesha Festival people offer their prayers to the Snake by pouring milk. A blind belief considering that snakes don't drink milk. Also the chances to find a snake in the ant hills are very less. If at all a snake pops out, I am sure most people would run . Seen in picture is my Mother. Shot in August 2006.
