Forum Mall
The Mall is popular among the youth in Bangalore and an attraction to those coming to Bangalore. It is in close proximity to many IT companies and serves as an automatic choice to catch up on a movie or for any celebrations.
View from the second floor.
A young couple - in love? - enjoying the view below.
People enjoying over a snack.
This is the PVR cinemas. PVR - Priya Village Roadshow [Interesting name isn't it?] opened India's largest 11 screen multiplex in 2004 at the Forum. People often frequent here to catch up with a movie.
They usually end up having a bite in the Transit. You get every kind of food here. But the prices are absurd - at least for me.
McDonald's opened their first outlet in Bangalore at the Forum.
The mall is crowded with people most of the time. All in all, A good place to hangout !!!

Bengalooru is halted
Sadhashivnagar Road
It was a normal sunny Wednesday summer afternoon. The day was April 12 2006. I was not in office that time. I had just finished sending off a momentous hot headed mail to my team lead and project manager. I came downstairs to settle in front of the idiot box and laze away with a boring afternoon soap. What do I see? The news of the demise of the Natasarvabhauma Dr Rajkumar was flashing on all News Channels. It was around 3 PM. Within minutes the news spread like wild fire.
There were SMS's, Phone calls and News alerts advising people to rush home as tension and 'violent' expressions of grief was anticipated. All the shops downed their shutters, IT Companies closed immediately and roads became empty and the mischief makers took to the street looking to take advantage of the situation. I got a call from my friend asking me to come to his office and pick him up. I rushed off on my bike. The streets were tensed with anxious people looking to reach home safety. There was an air of grief and tension at the same time.
The road leading to Dr Rajkumars House
Palace Grounds Road
The whole city was halted for 2 days and there was a loss of huge amounts of money and property and even some lives .... which the legend of Kannada - Indian Cinema would not have dreamt in his wildest dreams.

Majestic
This is the central bus stand of Bangalore City , which is called Majestic, after a movie theatre of that name in that area. The name Majestic has remained and refers to the central area of Namma Bengalooru.
In the picture are the buses which connect to all parts of the city. There is another terminal which handles buses that connect Bangalore to all major cities and states in south India.

Reverence
The huge Ganesha idol in Kemp Fort, Airport Road, Bangalore. There is also a Shiva idol in the same complex. Picture01 Picture02
Every Indian Hindu home has a dedicated place to the almighty. This is considered sacred where idols & photographs are kept and worshipped. This is one such puja room. Shot in my friends house in December 2004.
On Gowri-Ganesha Festival people offer their prayers to the Snake by pouring milk. A blind belief considering that snakes don't drink milk. Also the chances to find a snake in the ant hills are very less. If at all a snake pops out, I am sure most people would run . Seen in picture is my Mother. Shot in August 2006.
