Perched !!

This was shot near the Silver Creek Park. I am trying to get the hold on the lens with which I can create some interesting shots in the future. This is a test shot of certain group of Sparrow. I liked this one inspite of the many faults.

Loving the focus/ out of focus on the branches....very well done!

The sun was strong and I didnt want to expose the lens to it without a filter so it was a hurried shot. I wanted a more sharper focus on the bird and also a much highlighted tone on the bird.. next time !! Thanks for ur comment.

But honestly I think you totally captured the true essence of what nature is. At least that's what I feel when I look at your photo. Everyone is so worried about getting the perfect image of a bird, but thats boring...this hurried shot isnt! Its unique and the lighting is just right that is highlights the idea of the bird in nature and the blue background makes the bird pop! I love photography so when I saw your blog I knew I had to follow it, I love the idea of "life through my lens". I'm not a poet, at least I dont consider myself one. I just like to write what I know and what I know best are my emotions, thoughts and interpretations of life. Im from Washington DC. You? was this picture taken with your 73-300 mm lens? oh and do you have a canon?

you have a 30D SLR?!@ WOW!
If I had the money I would make that SLR mine! I have a crazy love for manual tho, but the 30D would definitely make me want to shift into the digital world!
