Incredible India - Life everywhere !!!

I was looking into my archives and came across these lovely pictures which I shot in Mumbai when I was there in June 2006. Life exemplifies at every nook and corner of this wonderful country.

Near a railway crossing in Kalyan. The Mumbai local is so busy all through the day and is the lifeline for commuting across the city and suburbs for the common man.



An early morning on a rainy monsoon day in Fort Area.



One of the ever busy railway stations. Ironically exactly a little after a month I was here, terror and tragedy struck on the Mumbai local trains claiming hundred of lives.

High Spirits !!!

Ahh there is nothing like having a drink at the end of hard day at work or study. A picture I took in the midnight over some drinks and mouth watering juicy chicken with a friend. By the way we grilled the chicken ourselves. Having a laptop by the side with access to the inter-net is bliss.



I have caught a fancy for Gin, nowadays. Adding a few drops of lemon juice or sprite to negate the strength makes it all the more better.

Fuelling Time !!!

In India there are people who work in Petrol / Diesel bunks whose job is to refuel the vehicles according to the customers requirement.

Here in America atleast in Caliornia you do the fueling yourselves. Payment is done using credit / debit card. There are counters if you need to pay by cash.



Most of the times there are long lines during the peak hours. A shot I took while fueling my car.



I believe the gas prices have soared enormously. From 70 cents to a gallon to between 1-2.25 dollars and now to 3 dollars 10 cents a gallon, its a considerable change. It makes me ponder a while before I get a full tank everytime :)

Backyard Lilies

Lilies in my sisters backyard. Took around 2 months to show up. Presents a lovely sight for the eye. Thank you mom for planting them :)

Evergreen Valley !!!

I came across this lovely spot on the hills during a weekend drive. This place is called the Evergreen.

Spectacular view of the South San Jose city.

A quick drive or a trek to this place is sure to freshen ones mind.

Rainy Days !!!

It has been raining here regularly this month and the mountains in the valley are turning green. These are some shots of my University from under the umbrella.



When it pours heavily , vehicle speeds on the free ways are below the usual speed limits as the roads tend to get slippery and the road view becomes blur due to huge spray of water on the wind shields. I enjoy my time behind the wheel when it rains. Click here for Related Video
