San Francisco Fireworks !!!
Here are 8 Pictures, each for every year of the new millenium so far. This time I got the opportunity to welcome the New Year with thousands of revellers in San Francisco. I was in the company of one of my good friend. It reminded me of the Bangalore Revelry a couple of years back.
I have read that a lot of time (months) , efforts (team of hundreds of men) and money (thousands of dollars) goes behind these visual stimulators which last for just about 10 - 20 minutes.
An interesting information which I got is that all these various fireworks are networked before the show using computers and on the day of the show they are triggered by the press of a single button, to achive the brilliant Pyrotechnics and the flawless Synchronisation.
Watching these fireworks light up the black night sky as they erupt into an evanescent red chrysanthemums is an experience one would cherish for ever.
As the display ends the hoards of revellers who are in high spirits head back to party. There is not an inch available in the Market Street as the people walk shouting in excitement greeting one another.
