Mag Cover Page !
Sometime in the month of August I had a request in my inbox asking for permission for the use of the pictures of Virupaksha Temple, I had taken during my jaunt to Hampi last year, on a magazine cover.
I was silently happy for two reasons. One, that one of my pictures would be on a magazine for the first time and the other being that many searches being made on google lead to my blog. I receive quite a few enquiries every month in my inbox asking for info about the few places I have travelled. I am more than happy to guide these people.
The magazine in question is Viveka Prabha , published by Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysore, a branch center of the world renowned Ramakrishna Math and Mission. The magazine is solely dedicated to the spread of noble ideas among all sections of people irrespective of caste, creed or religion. It intends to inspire people to live good and noble lives.
Nothing can be more satisfying for a person, than his work being noticed and appreciated. If any of the numerous photo hobbyist's are intersted in contributing their pictures , this is one of the medium. As this mag is from a purely charitable and philonthropic organization, one should not expect any monetary rewards.
They are on a lookout for some good pictures on Deepavali, for their November 2006 issue. Anyone interested can contact Swami Vireshananda [ vivekaprabha@dataone.in ]
