2008 Eve
My friend Sridhar watching the last sunset of the year 2007. Captured from my room, just before we headed to San Francisco to witness the fireworks.
The BART - Bay Area Rapid Tranist. It is a heavy-rail public rapid-transit system serving the San Francisco Bay Area. The acronym BART is pronounced as a word, not as individual letters. It opened for service on September 11, 1972. More on Wiki.

A Walk in Hellyer
Some pictures of the Hellyer Park posted previously
Notice how the mountains have dried out from green to brown. The one above was shot in the beginning of Spring sometime in March 2008 and the one below was shot in the end of Summer in September 2008.
There is a 8 mile walkers/bike track through this park.
Dry vegetation.
A duck on the dry fallen leaves.

Sky View
This locality in Evergreen, South San Jose is called the Sky View. It is located high on the hills and presents a spectacular view of the city beneath.
The people living hereon the rolling hills have the luxury of numerous hiking trails, and spacious blue skies. There is a golf course too.
Some of the homes here cost upto 2-3 million dollars which is a whopping 9 - 13 crore Indian Rupees as of today.

Abode
This is a residential locality in the Evergreen area, San Jose. An interesting point about the homes in America are that almost all of them look alike. Be it the apartments or the independent houses. No doubt they are all beautifully ladnscaped, but it becomes montonous to the eye after some time.
I miss the sight of solid dwellings back home. Solid I say because all the homes in California are built of wood and assembled together in order to make them earth quake resistant.
The pictures except the first one were shot in RMV extension - Bangalore, which has some of the most beautiful huge mansions of Bangalore. Note the presence of natural greenery around every house.

Photo Shoot
For a change I photographed an event. Markkula Center for Applied Ethics, the place where I work part time as a web developer presently hosted two camps and didnt have a photographer to capture some memories. I was the best bet and here are a few shots.
The Government Ethics Camp which had many government officials participating in it. Two term ex-mayor of Santa Clara Judy Nadler is a Senior Fellow in government ethics at Markkula Center for Applied Ethics. She is a very sweet down to earth person. I am previliged to be working with her. Judy Nadler (first from right).
These are from an other camp of Character Education for teachers.
Seen in the picture are Kim and Alex supervizing the teachers who are in the midst of a fun activity.
Supervizing the blind 'folded'

Backyard Shots
Some shots taken from the Canon 30D DSLR in the backyard to unwind and rejoice with the satisfaction of a good shot.
A fallen plum placed on the fence.
Flowers which will make my mother smile.
The setting sun.
A brilliant orange painted by the nature.
The sky covered with black smoke which was the result of the Santa Cruz fires in June 2008.
A wonderful view on a cold evening in December 2007 . In December it becomes dark as early as 5 PM
