Sky View

This locality in Evergreen, South San Jose is called the Sky View. It is located high on the hills and presents a spectacular view of the city beneath.

The people living hereon the rolling hills have the luxury of numerous hiking trails, and spacious blue skies. There is a golf course too.

Some of the homes here cost upto 2-3 million dollars which is a whopping 9 - 13 crore Indian Rupees as of today.

Harbor Cove

Harbor Cove Apartments in Foster City, California. The best part of this place you get to stay in a water view house.

Shot in March 2008 when I had gone to visit a friend.

The water colour is green at the far end which is in contrast with the blue in the other parts of the lake.

Abode

This is a residential locality in the Evergreen area, San Jose. An interesting point about the homes in America are that almost all of them look alike. Be it the apartments or the independent houses. No doubt they are all beautifully ladnscaped, but it becomes montonous to the eye after some time.

I miss the sight of solid dwellings back home. Solid I say because all the homes in California are built of wood and assembled together in order to make them earth quake resistant.

The pictures except the first one were shot in RMV extension - Bangalore, which has some of the most beautiful huge mansions of Bangalore. Note the presence of natural greenery around every house.

Photo Shoot

For a change I photographed an event. Markkula Center for Applied Ethics, the place where I work part time as a web developer presently hosted two camps and didnt have a photographer to capture some memories. I was the best bet and here are a few shots.

The Government Ethics Camp which had many government officials participating in it. Two term ex-mayor of Santa Clara Judy Nadler is a Senior Fellow in government ethics at Markkula Center for Applied Ethics. She is a very sweet down to earth person. I am previliged to be working with her. Judy Nadler (first from right).

These are from an other camp of Character Education for teachers.

Seen in the picture are Kim and Alex supervizing the teachers who are in the midst of a fun activity.
