Pink of Health !!!

I want to blog something which I have realised over the last 3 years (Starting Jan 26 2005). Many may not agree with this. But definitely all these factors play a major role for an overall well being of a human being.

1> Discipline in Daily routines [Formulate a standard routine and follow it meticulously. Eg wake up early and maintain this consistently. Go to work / school as per schedule. Have your meals at the proper time. Dedicate some time for personal/ social activities]

2> Watch out what you eat. [ Have a Kings Breakfast, Soldiers Lunch and a Common Mans / Beggars Dinner ] Drink lot of water. Eat fresh. No junk food.

3> Every week Tax your body physically atleast for 4 days. Eg Gym, run, walk, play a sport. As one of my good friend said, make gymming a part of your life / routine just like how you brush your teeth as soon as you get up from bed.If these three are followed, you tend to be fresh and success comes automatically in whatever you do. Work or studies. It tends to show on you.

I am saying all this because I have experienced this. I would like to add one more thing, if you break out of the routine for a couple of days, the habit tends to wane because you tend to procrastinate. It is very hard to recover. Will take a month or two, as your body begins to miss the discipline. I have experienced this too.

Good luck folks for a long lifetime with the Pink of Health !!!

The Pacific Coastline

Time for a long delayed short travel. 60 miles drive away from the Bay Area on the 101 Freeway is what it took to come near the west coast of America. This is called the 17 Mile Drive.

The blue Pacific waves.

A pet dog enjoying the spray.

Unidentified dead marine creatures washed away onto the shores. There were lots of these.

I have never seen as many rocky formations as these on the shorelines in any of the few beaches I have visited in India.

Huge crashing waves on the rocks creating a wonderful spray.

This is the Bird Rock which is one of the many attractions of the 17 mile Drive.

A Cypress tree along the drive.

The Pebble beach Golf resorts offers a scenic course on which any Golfer would love to have game.

Colorful native wild flowers along the beach.

The Pebble Beach with its white sand dotted with washed away vegetation and dead marine creatures.

One of the many groves of the tall Monterey Cypress Trees. Some of these are nearly 300 years old.

The Ghost Tree Point.

The Lone Cypress is the most popular attraction of the 17 mile Drive.

This tree has weathered the elements of nature and has prevailed on the rocky perch for over 250 years and is considered as the symbol of this place.

It was a refreshing ocean experience along the Pacific Coast.
